The WT297-8D is a close-ratio cluster gear designed for GM Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmissions (1966–1974) with a 1-inch countershaft. Made from high-strength carburizing alloy steel (e.g., SAE 8620) and heat treated to HRC 58–62, it offers excellent wear resistance and durability. This gear enhances power transfer and shift smoothness, making it ideal for classic muscle car restoration, upgrades, or performance builds. Precision-machined to meet OEM standards for easy installation and long-term reliability.
