Description

Direct-replacement drive gear/input shaft for T5 WC 5-speed applications, commonly used on Ford platforms (e.g., Mustang 5.0 — Fox / early SN95). The helical drive gear is precision-hobbed with edge-relief for smoother launches, quieter operation, and cleaner shifts, while finely finished journals and splines ensure OE-fit with bearings, seals, and the clutch disc. Made from SCM415 / SAE 8620 alloy case-hardening steel and carburized & quenched for a hard wear surface with a tough core, it resists long-term wear and pitting. Dimensions and tolerances are OE-matched for drop-in rebuilds. For best results, pair with the matching 3.35-ratio cluster gear and synchronizer set, set endplay/preload to spec, and use GL-4 manual transmission oil.
